Jack & Suzy Welch get down to business

I've recently come across an interesting series of videos called "It's everybody's business with Jack and Suzy Welch." Jack Welch (who you may know as the former CEO of GE for 20 years and has been called "Manager of the Century" by Fortune Magazine) and his wife Suzy (best-selling author, commentator and business journalist) have teamed up with Microsoft for an unscripted video Web series where high-profile companies are given the chance to address their challenges.

Jack and Suzy lead the meetings with a "Work-Out" to help bring everything to the table, address challenges, and discuss business problems. Key players from companies like Hertz and Dominos speak about things that would normally make them nervous to say to their bosses. Then, the meeting is summarized, and they bring in the big boss. Things get exciting, get tense and get the ball rolling.

"Starting a new business, there's probably nothing more fun in a business than doing that," says Jack. "On the other hand, starting a new business out of an old business is really tough stuff."
