My Website Bites: Ugly Website Winner Announced
The winner has been announced for the My Website Bites: 2009 Ugly Website Contest - Communities in Schools of Cape Fear. The local non-profit organization focuses on keeping kids in school and reducing the dropout rate.
Wilmington Design Company sponsored a three-month long contest to find the ugliest site on the internet. Communities in Schools Program Director, Lisa Brewster, submitted their website after the old one got hacked into. "It's a dubious distinction to have your website bite, but we're really serious about making sure that all the information about our agency is in the public that we can educate people about our services to youth, and about volunteer opportunities, what we do here as a non-profit,” she said. "We're really excited about having a real quality website."
Communities in Schools won a free website make-over worth $5,000.
The runner-up is the website for Haunted Pub Crawl in downtown Wilmington. They will be awarded a sack of lemons.

Testimonials
We hired Wilmington Design Co. to design a logo for our practice. We were pleasingly surprised when we received a page of logos for us to choose from very quickly and much faster than we ever expected.
