The new website

Wilmington Design Company is excited to announce a sponsorship of the Pink Ladies organization. The Pink Ladies organization is a group of women athletes in Wilmington, NC dedicated to empowering each other through the sport of triathlon and other athletic endeavors as well as raising money for charitable causes.

Established in early 2010 by Eliza Blackwell as an informal group of like-minded athletes, the organization initially set up a simple blog to post upcoming events, gallery photos, early membership information and potential sponsorship opportunities. However, as they grew from just a handful of women to nearly a hundred, the organization needed an improved resource to provide information on upcoming events, attract sponsors, and organize member efforts. WDC worked closely with the Eliza to develop a platform better suited to handle the growing reach and impact of her organization within the community.

The new website features an optimized layout that provides visitors with easy access to pertinent information. Other features include custom photo galleries for posting and organizing event photos, an integrated Google calendar for upcoming events, as well as detailed pages for sponsors and charities.

This year the Pink Ladies are sponsoring NourishNC, a charity focused on connecting children to healthy food and reducing food insecurity. Currently serving 10 local schools, they empower children to succeed in the classroom and community alike.
