There are actually many Real Estate-related movies for any type of genre: dramas, thrillers, comedies, tear-jerkers, horrors, and even slasher films. Here’s a list — in no particular order — of some you’ve probably seen and some you might have not…

1. The Money Pit (1986), starring Tom Hanks and Shelley Long
A couple desperately tries to repair their newly purchased, rundown, disaster of a house. Renovation proves to be equally disaster-prone.

4. Life As A House (2001), starring Kevin Kline and Hayden Christensen
A dying man oversees construction of his dream house and tries to build a relationship with his alienated son, while an unreasonable neighbor tries to sabotage his plans.

5. Poltergeist (1982), starring JoBeth Williams and Craig T. Nelson

8. Pacific Heights (1990), starring Michael Keaton and Melanie Griffith
At first, Carter Hayes has all the characteristics of a good tenant. But his landlords soon learn that he is a con artist who does not pay rent and even turns his own apartment into a cockroach-infested den. It is all part of an elaborate scheme to use California tenant laws against the owners and obtain the property for himself.
