Mobile sites preferred over apps

If you’ve been contemplating whether or not to move forward with developing a mobile version of your website, consider this: more than 60% of 25-34 year-olds now own a smartphone and/or tablet device for browsing and staying connected to the web. And according to a new survey from Zmags, only 4% of these consumers use branded apps (as opposed to mobile-optimized sites).

Another study from Pew Internet shows that it only took one holiday for the number of U.S. adults who own either a tablet or an e-reader to jump to almost one-third of the adult population — from 18% to 29%!

Wilmington Design Company has built several mobile-optimized sites for clients like Mayfaire Towncenter and home builder, Caviness & Cates Communities. Mobile sites like these are built for users to easily find the most valuable information at their fingertips.
