Cape Fear Literacy Council: From a Website That Bites to a Website That Wows

Wilmington Design Company is pleased to announce that the Cape Fear Literacy Council Website has launched!

Cape Fear Literacy Council (CFLC) was the proud winner of the 2010 ‘My Website Bites’ contest, which entitled them to a complete re-design of their existing website, as well as three years of free hosting! This local non-profit organization has been helping adults and their families learn to read and reach their literacy goals for over 25 years.

“There really could not have been a better winner”, said WDC Owner Bill Hunter, “We really enjoyed the opportunity to help such a great organization.”

CFLC’s previous site had served its purpose, but felt a bit cluttered and dated. The client wanted a better way to reach out to their donors, volunteers and the public. The website needed the ability to produce fresh content and to easily update news and events.

“Our team worked closely with CFLC to ensure that their message would be the focus of the website”, explains Bill, “To improve the overall look and functionality of the site, we kept everything else clean and simple.”

Website content has been reorganized for easier navigation, while important information such as upcoming events and ways to get involved are more prominently displayed.
